Frying my Noodle

so wat constitutes hokkien fried noodles? and y is singapore associated with it?

that's one question that had me stumped the whole morning during the train ride to work. there's this new brand of instant noodles out on the market called "Indofood" and they have the selection called "Taste of Asia" which consists of different flavours of instant noodles concentrating mainly on the different kinds of fried noodles a person can find in asia.

they have one "Hokkien Style Flavour Fried Noodles" with the packaging showing the words "Singapore" and a merlion.

so what constitutes hokkien fried noodles? im not sure if they have such noodles in the fujian province of china and what's the relation with sg?

im just gonna guess that some genius from the fujian province came over to sg several eons ago and fried noodles for a living thus the name. i.e. a hokkien guy frying noodles = hokkien fried noodles.

then again, in that light, hokkien man frying noodles = noodles fried hokkien style = basis for indofood's branding.

which then means that if i fried noodles (i am hokkien), the noodles i fry would be authentic fried hokkien noodles.

A post finally.............

just before the post editor page started to load, i caught a glimpse of the date of my last post.........i realised it's been nearly a month since........wow, that's the longest ive been without blogging.........so far way from the time when i used to average nearly 2 posts a day............

i tell myself that i shld be blogging more regularly cos it's good practice........good for the expression and good for the writing........and yet i find myself lacking in the discipline to do just that...........i enjoy blogging, i just dun have the time and energy to do it.......

well, from the para above, it seems rationalising helps too........good for the expression and good for the writing.........

anywayz, wat's been going on..........

nothing much really.......work and more work..........with this being the hari raya season, im looking at the next wk without my 2 indonesian colleagues.......which leaves, aside from my project manager, just me to work on the project..........i jus hope nothing too major or anything too screwy comes up........

i shld be posting more exciting stuff, but nothing's popping into my head right now........

the weather's screwy......the haze is really sucking big time...........i havent gone for a run in ages with work ending late and now the haze...........im starting to feel fat.........but yet surprisingly, i found that i am able to buckle my belt another notch tighter..............found being the operative word here.......in my joy of having such a pleasant revelation, i have been celebrating it with much snacking of "chips ahoy" chocolate chip cookies during late evenings in the office............now im back to my original buckle notch......

ah well.........

it's nearing the end of the year already...........xmas is pretty much nearly round the corner.......time does fly pretty fast.......the year has been pretty eventful, much blood, sweat and tears have been shed during its course.......im sure there'll be more the next 2 mths and perhaps the next year as well..........i guess it's almost time to break out the turkeys, hams and gifts and get into the xmas spirit..........

so perhaps the next post will be then? i hope not.......i will try my best to blog more regularly........i think.......
