Fishies~!

i have fish.....yep, fish........2 of them........

dunno wat species they are.........thought they were longkang (drain) fish........until my dad saw them and said they were satay fish.........

now........satay fish, to me = food........u know those thin slices of seasoned processed fish meat on a long satay stick they sell at provision shops.........had a whole bunch of them today much to the dismay and protest of my already sore throat......

so these 2 little things are satay fish........tho they really dun look meaty enuf to be used for satay.........more like ikan bilis.....

story behind the fish..........long story short, i saved them from certain death at the event i was working at today.........they were part of one of the games at the stalls..........kids were allowed to fish out of an inflatable kiddie pool full of longkang fishes.........

at the end of the day, the remaining fishes were to be........disposed of........and me, seeing an opportunity to chalk up some humanitarian points, decided to adopt 2 fish.........the remaining were finally all squeezed into a small little tank similar to those kids carry around in primary sch..........wasnt a pretty sight......minutes later it got uglier, i had the opportunity to observe the full meaning of "sleeping with the fishes".........

and in the back of my mind something went, "goodie......time to bring out the frying pan"

that got me thinking........those fish that had to watch their comrades die must have been traumatised.........kinda like being in a battlefield with dead bodies all around and many more dropping like flies........

so how do fish deal wif trauma? maybe i could help my fish.........they seem rather lifeless now..........maybe my mum could give them counselling..........or i could jus add some vodka to the water.........would they prefer vanilia or raspberry? think no need mixers to go wif it, the water shld make the vodka quite dilute already........

wat abt groundnuts to go wif the drinks?
