short rant....
funny how there exists pple who are in a certain profession or line and yet can be so hopelessly stupid with things related to their profession or line........
really.......you would expect a computer engineering student to know how to maintain and upkeep a computer........at the very least know how to do basic troubleshooting.........nvm he/she doesnt know the hardware stuff much, but at least know how to go abt isolating the problem........
i find it extremely hard to comprehend the fact that a computer engineer might not know how to maintain and upkeep his/her own computer........the females forming the largest bulk of those......
yea true, they do know more than the other non-engineering/IT girls, a wee bit more......but that's almost always jus abt it.........a WEE bit more........it's extremely horrifying how a computer engineering student can be so totally hopeless at maintaining his/her computer, making sure it is virus, spyware, blah blah-free..........
nvm the students........there are lecturers who are totally hopeless as well......
how in the world can a computer engineering lecturer not know how to operate a fucking OHP (Overhead Projector) ?!??!?!?
have this lecturer who seems pretty fond of using the OHP......which is quite necessary for the subject he's teaching......but he only seems to know how to turn it on/off.........he doesnt know how to focus the thing! and he teaches students how to build systems much more complex than a OHP~!
the guy dumped a transparency on the OHP, turned it on, and saw it was out of focus.......not happy with it, he switched to the other OHP........it didnt occur to him that all you had to do was turn the knob and raise the lens higher to focus it........
after awhile, he realised he needed 2 OHPs........so back he went to the out of focus OHP and turned it on again......this time he realises he needs to raise the lens.......
so he tries to forcefully pull the lens arm upwards...........to no avail.......
all this time, 300 odd students were sitting patiently, quietly amused by his lack of OHP competency..........
it's ridiculous.........and nvm he tried pulling the lens arm upwards with his bare hands, he did it not jus twice, but three times~!
wat amuses me most tho, is the fact that he never once stopped to think that maybe there's some other way to raise the arm.........and the knob was so huge it was staring him in the face....

would hardly think so...the guy's been teaching the same subject for semesters....
ruiqi : i think he is "stupid" plus lazy.
