M&A - The Story of How M Met A

time for a celebratory post. a pair of my close frens, M and A, are tying the knot soon. so here's a shoutout of congrats to the both of them~!

how time flies really. M&A have been together for 6yrs already and these 6yrs have seen them go thru much as a couple. so now that they are going to exchange vows, it's great to see all the effort they have put in come to a much deserved official union.

of course im most happy abt the impending dinner. kidding.

incidentally, M&A = Mergers & Acquisitions in business/finance speak.

altho i believe this has been recounted several times. i remember the first time M laid his eyes on A. it was during one of the regular night outs with the guys. at the time, we were all serving our national service and often hung out at Wong San's during the weekends. so naturally, being young and virile specimens of the Singaporean male species, many girls caught our eyes. but when M saw A, he was more excited than usual. *ahem*

turns out A was a regular at Wong San's too. so obviously M would be more excited than his usual self each time we hung out there and often pointed her out to the rest of us. we did not know A's name then. to the rest of us she was known as "The Slash Girl" cos she was always wearing a toga-like top. thankfully she's moved on from that fashion phase. so M had become fixated with "The Slash Girl" so much so that each time she glanced or did not glance our way, M would exclaim excitedly,"She just looked at me" + "again" + "again". ahhhhh........the sweet smell of young love.

so one day, M finally plucked up the courage to talk to her. finally, after spending so much time talking to us ABOUT her, he finally talked TO her. wat relief. subsequently, she came over to talk to him as well. it was not long before he managed to get her number and then jio-ed her out. and from there led to a relationship which has seen its fair share of ups and downs. and that has in turn led them to where they are today, a fitting union with a new chapter in life together as an officially married couple.

that's the story of how M met A, so to the both of them, i say once again "Congrats~!" and ohyes, "Finally".
