It is my Birthday......soon
i think im turning into a serious photo whore.......crap.....im turning gay as well......
with my bday just 2 days away, my head is spinning with all the possible things i can photograph jus to immortalise the point at which i turn 25.........
believe me, there'll be much more of this incessant blogging abt my bday for the next few days at least.......especially since i do not have much else to do, what with the exams during the same period........it sucks really, to have your bday fall in the mating season......lucky for the animals on discovery channel if they are having their birthdays.........not so lucky for me....
anywayz, speaking of media whoring, there's this 4 page coverage in the lifestyle section of the sunday times today on the socialites of sg.......
quite the gossip/bitchy article it was........it gave insight into the lesser known world of the A-List circle in our little red dot and the ugly side to it......tales of sugar-mamas/papas, what the new breed of A-Listers are like, etc, etc.......pretty juicy.......
one of the statements made that caught my eye was how sg's chi-chi crowd pales in comparison to those abroad and in neighbouring countries in terms of sophistication and class.......
not surprising i say........but then again, the dirt really isnt gonna be any different isnt it?
then i noticed how much the article seemed to focus on the ladies in the A-List........abt how they whore themselves in front of the camera by performing ridiculous antics jus to grab attention, abt the different tantrums or fits they throw jus to tell the whole world they are still worth the world's attention........oh yes, not forgetting the cattiness........
what happened to all the men?
i do have a theory for this but im lazy to type it out........but it has something to do with how men jus seem to fight their wars on a different stage and are more capable of leaving things in the boardroom than women (might be different further up the ranks i dunno, im jus guessing)......which is wat the new breed of A-List ladies are shifting to as well........maybe then, the guys will start media whoring themselves as well........that would be jus fun..........
the article did end with what i feel is a very true statement, "We as humans crave for attention and affection. Some are just more desperate for it." or something to that extent.......
so, why do we blog? really. voicing ourselves and wanting to be heard be it online or in a book is as much a need for some attention as it is a need for emotional relief isnt it?
